Terms
What you agree to when you use PlayChale, in plain language.
About these terms
PlayChale helps people find and run games, book pitches and courts, organise leagues and tournaments, and keep a record of how they play. These terms are the agreement between you and PlayChale ("we") when you use the app or the website.
By creating an account you agree to them. If something here isn’t clear, write to [email protected].
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use PlayChale. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.
Use your own name, one account per person, and keep your sign-in codes to yourself: anyone with a code can get into your account. You’re responsible for what happens in it.
Your username must not pretend to be someone else or a club, school or company you don’t represent.
Games, venues and competitions
PlayChale connects players, hosts, venue owners and organisers. We don’t organise the games, run the venues or referee the matches. Hosts are responsible for their games, venue owners for their venues, and organisers for their competitions.
Sport carries a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk, so play within your limits and look after each other.
Venue owners must describe their venues, prices and opening hours honestly, and honour the bookings they accept.
Organisers who add people to an event by name need their agreement, or for a child a parent’s or the school’s, and should add no more than the event needs: a first name is often enough. Entry fees for an event are paid to its organisers directly; PlayChale only keeps track of who has paid.
Paying
Where paying in the app is available, payments are handled by our payment provider, Paystack, under its own terms. Everywhere else you pay the host or the venue directly, and PlayChale isn’t part of that payment.
Refunds for a game or a booking are between you and the host or venue. If something goes wrong with a payment made in the app, write to us and we’ll help.
PlayChale is free to start. If we add paid features later, you’ll always see the price clearly before you pay for anything.
Results and stats
Hosts record results and players can confirm or dispute them. Record results truthfully: stats only mean something if they’re real.
We may correct or remove results that are clearly wrong or made up.
How to behave
Don’t use PlayChale to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, to spam, to mislead people, or for anything illegal. Don’t try to break or overload the service, or get into accounts that aren’t yours.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and remove anything that breaks them.
What you add
What you add to PlayChale stays yours: your profile, your games, your venue’s details. You give us permission to store it and show it in the app, so it can do its job.
The service
We work hard to keep PlayChale running and correct, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change, add or remove features.
As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for losses that come from games, venues, bookings or payments between users, or from the service being unavailable.
Changes and leaving
When these terms change, we’ll ask you to agree to the new ones the next time you open the app.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
